Naturally Uneven Eyebrows: Tips for Symetric Brows

Eyebrows are undeniably one of the essential parts of your overall features. A well-defined eyebrow is something we all dream of. Unfortunately, more often than not, we lesser mortals have to use artificial methods like makeup filler to make our eyebrows look grander.

But not everyone has the handiwork of an artist to draw out those well-formed arches. Also, it does take a lot of time. So we thought of finding a more natural and far more permanent way of fixing your uneven eyebrows.

You can thank us after you read this article and learn how you can naturally match your brows to look on point for your next outing. But before we get to that, we need to understand the why of this situation.

Causes of Uneven Eyebrows

Prior to understanding the ways in which we can make our brows match, we need to ask why they become uneven in the first place.

Physiologically, everyone has a dominant hand and a non-dominant one. Most people are right-handed, others have the left hand as the dominant one and there are a few who are ambidextrous.

Eyebrows work on this same principle. You have a dominant eye that works harder than your other eye, and the eyebrow that accompanies it is the dominant one.

Due to the constant pull of muscles, the area near the brow often forms harder muscles resulting in a higher-brow that may be on a different plane altogether from your other one.

But apart from this, there are a few other reasons for uneven brows.

Hair Loss

Various skin conditions like eczema, atopic dermatitis, and even simple things like dandruff can lead to hair loss. And the worst part is that it does not end at your hairline but affects your brows too.

It makes eyebrows appear patchy and largely uneven. Using cosmetics on this irritated skin may not be a good idea, and thus, you may need the aid of the natural methods we have found for you.

Overplucking

Going to the spa is fun, and it is something that you undoubtedly deserve. However, going overboard with treatments like threading, waxing, tweezing or even plain old plucking is not a good idea.

Choosing a professional beautician often means that you would get even eyebrows, but you will not believe us if we tell you that this is no guarantee. Everyone can make mistakes.

If plucking on your own, you may get carried away in the process of making both sides look alike and end up making them look like they are facing north and south.

Botox

No one likes those pesky little crows’ feet, the fine lines, and the wrinkles that come to conquer our faces. In an attempt to avoid these, many individuals end up adopting botox treatments.

Since botox is injected directly onto facial muscles, it is quite possible for them to become damaged, causing uneven eyebrows in the long run.

How to Fix Naturally Uneven Eyebrows

There are many ways in which you can fix uneven eyebrows. We have compiled a few tried and tested methods here that may come in handy.

Patience

Sometimes the only way to correct your eyebrows is to let the bushes grow. Yes! We know it is not ideal, but if you let your eyebrows grow for 4 to six weeks, that may cover up the irregularities.

The overgrown eyebrow can then be tamed by an expert and shaped evenly. This is the most natural way that requires no intervention but rather some patience on your part.

Also, do not try to do the plucking or tweezing yourself after letting it grow if you don’t want to repeat this process again.

Meet A Brow Expert

Following our words above, a brow expert can bring about great changes to your forehead. So, after growing out your brows, meet a professional and have them even out the growth.

Remember to check if your brows are equidistant from your nose bridge and explain to them how you want the arch to be and how long or thin you want the tail. After this, careful maintenance and regular trimming will sort you out for sure.

Serums

Like the hairs on our heads, brows are also constantly growing and shedding. As a result, they also require additional nourishment than what the body may naturally offer them.

Buying brow growth serums that are rich in peptides is a great investment as they not only strengthen existing brow hair but also act as repairmen for the hair follicles.

Medication

Eyebrow loss might be due to certain existing skin conditions, and these may require medications. For this, a topical or oral treatment may be adopted after consultation with a dermatologist.

Though not a natural approach, this is required if the eyebrow loss or unevenness needs to be stopped before it becomes extensive.

Cosmetic Solutions

If the uneven eyebrows develop after a cosmetic procedure, the healthcare professional who administered the first treatment may be able to correct this problem.

In certain cases, this is unavoidable, and thus we are mentioning it here. This does not mean that your procedure was a botched one. The doctor can’t always predict the way your muscles may behave to botox or similar injections.

Makeup

This is the most common way by which you can make your brow sisters look alike. There are no limits to the magic a little palate brush and an eyebrow pencil can do.

However, this is not a permanent solution and must be repeated every day.

Alternate Remedies

So what can you do if you don’t want to choose any of the above methods? We can help you again.

We know the vital part exercise plays in sculpting our bodies the way we want them to be. Similarly, there are exercises that can help you with brow regeneration and sculpting.

Face Exercises or Face Yoga

You can find a rich treasure trove of how-to videos on face yoga for a more sculpted-looking face. But did you know that facial yoga for uneven eyebrows is also a thing?

Don’t worry about finding the right exercise for you, as we have prepared a step-by-step method to help you even out those brows and enhance your overall look.

Exercise 1: For Lifting Eyebrows

Using your index finger and middle finger, push your temples up while bowing your head downwards. Keep a timer on your phone and hold for 20 seconds. You can work both sides simultaneously. This process should be repeated three times.

Alternately, you can also do it for one eyebrow that has a lower arch to bring it on the same level as the other one.

Exercise 2: To Raise Eyebrow Points

If you have droopy brows, this is a great exercise to have them look up. Place your palm on your forehead and push it up. Hold for 10 seconds and repeat three times.

Again, work more on the lower eyebrow to make it even. You can also just do this for one eyebrow and raise it until both seem even.

Exercise 3: Raising Uneven Eyebrows

For this, you need to place both your palms on your forehead in a way that makes your eyes look bigger (don’t pop them out all the way).

Hold this for 10 seconds. Then, move on the drooping eyebrow and pull the side of your forehead where the tail end of the brow is. Hold for 10 seconds and release.

Repeat this same action on the middle part of the eyebrow and lift with three fingers for 10 seconds before releasing it.

Exercise 4: The Knuckle Method

This is a great exercise. The forehead is the part of the body that is constantly working, whether it be to concentrate or even to see things. Thus the constant pull of muscles creates knots that need to be released.

Using your knuckles (recommended) or the bottom end of a pen, push above your forehead while placing your other palm on the middle part of the forehead.

Using fingers can help you identify the knots easily. Then, massage the area slowly to release the knots. Often, Your dominant eyebrow will have more knots, and releasing them will help in making both brows even.
